Oia to Baiona

 Well what a day that was. Today I think we hit the wall. Another 23km under our belt as we wind our weary way to Santiago. The blisters and aches, pains are taking their toll on us and the other pilgrims we came across.. Most people that started in Porto with us are now feeling the burn. A lot of pilgrims we have come across today only started their Camino in Castelo so we have at least 100 km on them already. Some are only starting here in Baiona to qualify for the last 100 +km necessary for the Compestela. It hasn't been a hard day's walking in the scheme of things and we slept well last night but the distance is now telling. The weather today has been warm with clear blue skies and the walking level on good surfaces.  The coast here is beautiful and we have arrived in the town of Baiona. Tired and ready for tea and an early night. Tomorrow is a long day inland, 26km, towards Vigo and the final push north towards Santiago.  The weather looks set to change for the next few days with cloudier skies and a little rain. Hopefully St James will take pity on us poor pilgrims and keep the weather dry. The path to Vigo is long and flat. After that it veers more inland and becomes more hilly for the final 5 days as we climb towards our destination of the cathedral of St James.

I shall again post the link to the just giving page in the hope that friends and family back home will support us to try and raise as much as we possibly can for Prostate Cancer UK. It certainly raises our spirits and our determination when we see the total raised increase. Thanks to everyone that has supported us so far.
