Cordoba

Up bright and breezy this morning in our cave below the Alhambra ready for moving off. We have loved Granada. It has been everything we expected and more. Crispy is determined to come back again as soon as possible. After saying good bye to Rosa and her amazing little cave we set off downhill for the last time.. Breakfast in a small bakery and straight onto the bus to the Estacion autobus for our onward travel to Cordoba. The buses run like clockwork and the bus left on time. Just over two and a half hours later we arrived in Cordoba. The bus was air-conditioned and very comfortable which we were glad of. The temperatures are rising the further inland we go. By the time we reached Cordoba it was 31 degrees with azure blue skies.

It was about four o clock when we finally reached our accomodation. The Hospitaleria del Alma. An old hospital in the Jewish quarter. A fairly basic but comfortable room within an old building in the old part of the city. We dumped our Matilda's and had a quick freshen up before heading onto the streets. Again it is amazing. Small, narrow streets and alleyways interspaced with plaza and courtyards. It's very quaint and picturesque. We wandered the streets at will down to the river and had a pleasent couple of hours around the Roman bridge.  Nothing more to report today as it's a travelling day. Tomorrow we will explore all Cordoba has to offer.
